alternative viewpoints, then major hissyness ensues.

However, Robert Spencer and ‘YID with LID‘ have an
alternative opinions you should consider (Go there
and read the whole thing!).Everyone is wondering:
How could the man who coined the term ‘anti-Idiotarian‘,
founder of one of the well-respected sites
on the right blogosphere …. become ‘Dhimwit-of-the-Month‘,
a tool of the Islamic terrorist-facilitators CAIR, and the
purveyor of a far-left hate site of weapons-grade
crazyness?

Early in a thread, Charles makes an
appearance and tells his followers how and what to
think. If you’re an LGFer you must up-ding his posts
here or suffer the consequences. 9 Charles 4/30/09 2:38:03 pm +26 Wilders’ statements are about as un-American as it’s
possible to be. I’m finished giving him the benefit of
the doubt, and it’s beyond hypocritical of him to be
touting “freedom of expression” at the same time as
he advocates taking away the rights of Muslims.
Disgusting. Those little numbers on the right of each banner are ‘karma’.
Many people on LGF have been banned for down-dinging
posts of Charles or one of his cronies.

Just who does Charles think he is, calling people
‘un-American’? Joe McCarthy? My opinion? I think Geert Wilders is actually
un-American. In fact, he’s downright European.
After careful consderation of what Geert Wilders
actually said, I don’t think he is being fascist. I
think he’s just being European. Banning books, ideas,
religions, and people is something that less-civilized
cultures such as leftists, communists, fascists,
socialists, LGFers, and Europeans do. It’s
their knee-jerk response to a problem.

An American response would be to ban the bad behavior
and expose the evil ideas. Deporting Muslim criminals,
which Wilders does advocate, is certainly

I didn’t miss that part in bold. Firstly, the statement that “the
right to religious freedom should not apply to Islam“
occurs much latter in the same article.
If I wanted to include that part, I’d have
to cut-n-paste the entire article. Secondly,
Wilders said that Islam is a totalitarian ideology and the
right to religious freedom should not apply to totalitarian

Why the quotes around “American”? Good “Americans” such
as Duncan Hunter, Tom Tancredo, Lou Dobbs, Michelle
Malkin,…. all think it’s a good idea to deport illegal
alien criminals and so do I.

US prisons are filled with illegal aliens (estimated
at 33%). California could save billions in it’s bloated
budget by ‘outsourcing’ it’s prison population to
Latin American countries.

Wilders did not say to close ALL the mosques and
deport ALL the Muslims — he made three recommendations
in the article:

churches or synagogues are allowed to be built in countries like Saudi-Arabia we will not allow one
more new mosque in our western countries.” — that
sounds like reciprocity to me.

There are thousands of instances where this has been

But Wilders is a European and he’s certainly
being consistent in wanting to ban the Koran
since the Europeans also ban Mein Kampf. Wilders
points out chapter and verse where it calls
to murder the infidels.

Also at the link is where Wilders proposes to the Dutch
Parliament to ban Islam and his reasons:

It’s more like a choice between evil and stupid.

I don’t see McCain as an evil man — his heart’s in the right place and he endeavors to do the right thing. Look at what McCain accomplished with Campaign Finance reform — or am-nasty for illegals (actually it was good to the illegals, but nasty for the rest of the citizens of the USA). McCain honestly thought he was doing what’s best for the country.

‘Progressives’ have a vested interest in people having problems.

If someone comes up with a solution to a problem, they will do everything in their power to block it.  If a solution actually works — they will publish lies about it and make it appear that it doesn’t work. If there  isn’t a problem, they will pull a problem out their wazoo and make it appear to be a problem.

This enables them to take over the government, and force their false ‘solution’ down everyone’s throat. This false solution usually entails a bigger unwieldy bureaucracy, massive waste, and even more problems. They can use these new problems to consolidate their control over peoples lives even more.

We’ll call this new law of the universe:

“The vicious cycle of progressivism”

Replace ‘progressive’ with the label du jour that they currently like to call themselves: ‘liberal’, ‘socialist’, ‘statist‘, ‘communist’, … Eventually they will wear out the word ‘progressive’ and have to come up with a new label. But it doesn’t matter what they call themselves, this law of the universe still holds.

Wind power cannot work. We cannot drill our way out of the energy crisis. Government is the only solution to the ‘crisis’ in health care. Terrorism is not caused by Islamists — it’s due to inadequate funding for liberals pet giveaway project in the mid-east.  The surge cannot work in Iraq.
